Blogmas17 day 2

Saturday night at home because I'm not feeling 100% (still coughing) All my bonfire friends will be enjoying the Christmas dinner tonight, and I look forward to seeing all the pictures on social media tomorrow.

Now that bonfire season has finally drawn to a close, all the Christmas parties and nights out can begin...but I'm really enjoying this little lull before a fun-packed December programme of live bands around Brighton commences.

Tomorrow I imagine I will be blogging some more low carb meals and recipes and I have a little cook shop haul from today to show you...all things that could be featuring in tomorrows cooking.

No prizes for guessing that I'm going to be making some star-shaped biscuit decorations for the tree. The recipe I use is from Nigella's Domestic Goddess book.

It is specifically for biscuits that can cope with hanging on the tree for a few weeks without going off, and they are nice and peppery and spicy, (thus making them less likely to be gobbled up)
The Cook Shop is one of those places in my local town where I go to get one or two specific things but actually end up drifting round the entire shop mumbling to myself about ideas that the place gives me for things to make.  The silver balls and glitter are from Waitrose.

Hopefully tomorrow I will wake up and not have to spend the first half hour of the day coughing, and maybe actually feel better.
